Linda L. Armstrong
Candidate for Board of Assessment Appeals
Linda has lived in Andover since 1995 and raised her two children here. She currently serves on the BAA and has taken BAA Training. She retired from the University of Connecticut in 2022 after 42 years. Linda served as President of the AFSCME Local 355 for 29 years, and was involved in numerous organizations and committees, both on the University and union levels.
Linda has held board positions on the Andover Elementary School PTA, COOL Program, and Andover Cub Scout Pack 124. She currently is involved on the Andover Norton Commission, Andover Democratic Town Committee, and the Andover Historical Society. She volunteers for the Andover Senior Lunch Program, in addition to the RHAM Lacrosse and Football parent organizations. Linda has also been involved with the CERT Team, and served on the Andover 175th Anniversary Committee.

Brian Briggs
Candidate for Board of Finance
Brian is a teacher at Windham Middle School. He is deeply involved in the Andover community. He is a member of the PTA and the Recreation Commission, and coaches Windham Middle School Cross Country and Basketball.
Brian has a calm, reassuring manner and the unique ability to “listen more than talk.” He looks for ways to facilitate dialogue and avoid confrontation.
He understands the need for community involvement in current and future decision making.
Brian has a BA in Criminal Justice and a BS in Physical Education and Health (June 2021). He and his wife have two children.

Anne Cremé
Candidate for Board of Selectmen and Planning & Zoning Commission
Anne is a retired teacher and has lived in Andover for 18 years. She is Vice Chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission, serving because she wants to help Andover move ahead.
Anne is calm and quiet, but with a steely reserve. She listens well to everyone in town and will be a voice of reason where hot-headedness too often prevails.
Anne will bring respect and consideration to the Board of Selectmen, which currently needs a degree of humility.

Annmarie Daigle
Candidate for P & Z Alternate
Annmarie and her family have resided in Andover since 2001.
Like many parents, she first became active in the community when her child–now in college–started school at Andover Elementary.
Annmarie is a creative thinker and always ready to step up and offer her insight to get things done.
Annmarie previously served on the board of Andover Youth Soccer, and was a member of the Andover 175thAnniversary Committee.
She has served as a Recreation Commission member for more than eight years and is currently the Secretary of the Democratic Town Committee. Annmarie works as an Executive Secretary with the State of Connecticut.

Patrick Dougherty
Candidate for P & Z Alternate
Patrick Dougherty is an aerospace inspector who has been an Andover resident since 2007. He has previously served on the Andover Economic Development Committee and also the Planning and Zoning Commission.
His main focus is to support local and home-based businesses while sustaining the character of Andover.

Kirsten Erlandsen
Candidate for RHAM Board of Education
Kirsten is a life-long educator who has been a part of the RHAM community for 35 years. Her children attended Andover Elementary School and RHAM, and she recognizes the value these institutions bring to families in Andover. She brings her experience as a teacher, a parent and a coach to her role on the RHAM Board of Education.

Louise Goodwin
Candidate for Board of Finance
Louise Goodwin is a retired financial industry’s professional. She has a BA in Mathematics and some advanced training in Human Resources. She has earned a “Professional in Human Resources HR Certification” from the HR Certification Institute and has successfully passed two American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries exams.
Louise has lived in Andover for five years and is actively involved in the community. She is on the Andover Norton Commission and on the Memorial Day Committee.
Louise has served for four years on the Board of Finance with diligence and commitment and is very happy to run again.

Caitlin McIntosh Greenhouse
Candidate for Board of Education
Dr. Caitlin McIntosh is a practicing veterinarian and co-owner of a practice in Glastonbury, CT. She completed undergraduate studies at Connecticut College and graduated from Ohio State with her DVM in 2009. After practicing in upstate New York for six years, Caitlin returned to Connecticut and settled with her family in Andover in 2015. When not working, she spends most of her time with husband Mike, sons Elijah (10) & Wynston (5) and their small farm of chickens, goats, sheep, horses, a dog and two cats.
As a member of the Board of Education, Caitlin has strived to help town boards work together rather than against each other. Her main goals have been to increase community involvement in the school system and increase communication between the school board and the surrounding community. With two children in the local school system and a firmly cemented place in our community, she finds it very important to remain active in town governance. She believes in setting a good example of compromise and collaboration for our children and our town.
Caitlin describes herself as a socially liberal person with fiscally conservative tendencies. She does not vote on a party line, but rather for what she thinks is best; this is often a compromise between what is ideal for each party involved.

Kim Hawes
Candidate for Fire Commission
Kim has lived in Andover for more than 35 years and is retired. She currently serves on the Recreation Commission, Commission on Aging, Fire Department and the Community Emergency Response Team. She is also a Justice of the Peace and has had the pleasure of performing several weddings in town. Kim has been a youth basketball coach for many years and enjoys working with our younger population.
As an EMT with the Andover Volunteer Fire Department, Kim has seen first hand the commitment and dedication of our volunteers. She would like to be part of the decision-making process to ensure our firefighters and EMTs have the resources and training necessary to continue to protect and serve our community.

Jay Kamins
Candidate for Zoning Board of Appeals
Jay and wife Kimberly have been Andover residents for 20 years. Their daughter attended Andover Elementary and graduated RHAM with honors.
Jay has volunteered for the town in the past, creating the original version of the Andover website and as an Assistant Registrar of Voters. He’s been a member of the Democratic Town Committee for several years.
Jay works as at Medtronic as a Principal Designer, working on the next generation of Surgical Robotics that assist doctors to treat patients safer and heal faster.
Throughout the years, he’s written several editorials for the RiverEast urging political consensus and collaboration.

Shannon Louden
Candidate for Board of Education
Shannon O. Louden has volunteered on Andover’s Board of Education for the past eight years, serving as its Chair from November 2015 (shortly after her election to the BOE) through March 2021 and its Secretary from July 2021 through the present day. She wants to continue to serve all students and citizens of Andover for the next four years as a member of the important BOE.
As a member of the BOE for the past eight years, Shannon has volunteered significant time to:
- negotiating the contracts for each of the employees of AES, working with the individuals and unions
- directly participating in the successful searches for Superintendent Bruneau and Principal Parker
- serving as the BOE’s liaison to the Capital Improvement Planning Committee
- helping to revise the BOE’s policy manual
Shannon and her husband, Fred Oliver, who is a science teacher, have lived in Andover for 20 years and their son, William Oliver, greatly benefited from his education at AES. Shannon has been a lawyer for 30 years and specializes in matrimonial law and mediation.

“I believe that Andover Elementary School is one of the best, if not the best, reasons to live in Andover and want to make certain that AES receives the resources it requires to remain the excellent school that it is.
I care a great deal about the education of all students and have been a vocal advocate for the BOE’s budget while looking out for the interests of the Town of Andover.”
Jeff Maguire
Candidate for First Selectman
Jeff Maguire has been the First Selectman for Andover for the past four years and served as the Town’s Vice First Selectman for the four years prior to that. As the First Selectman, Jeff leads the Board of Selectmen (“BOS”) in setting policy and strategic direction for Andover. He and the BOS work in partnership with the Town Administrator, Eric Anderson,. Over recent years, Jeff has developed the strong working relationship with Eric that is necessary for overseeing the day-to-day business of the Town.
Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant and the Managing Partner and co-founder of Clearly Clean Products, LLC, which invented, patented and manufactures 100% recyclable food trays. He has lived in Andover for 22 years with his wife, Danielle, and their two adult children.

William Munroe
Candidate for Zoning Board of Appeals
Bill Munroe and his wife, Ali, have lived in Andover for more than thirty years. He’s a proud graduate with an Associate’s Degree in Public Administration. Bill is now retired, having been a package delivery man for 35 years. His interests include a passion for the environment, and he’s an avid hiker with the desire to serve the community he lives in.
Due to a retirement vacancy, Bill was recently nominated and appointed as Andover’s Chair of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission.
Several years ago he volunteered for the Zoning Board of Appeals and was appointed as a commissioner member.

Scott Person
Candidate for Selectman and Planning & Zoning Commission
Scott Person has been on Andover’s Board of Selectmen for the past four years and has served on the Planning and Zoning Commission for the past eight years. Scott has been very involved in the planning and development of the new Community/Senior Center in Andover, which is now under construction.
Scott has spent a lot of time clearing out and creating a walkway along the Hop River and helping to maintain the Veterans Memorial Field on Long Hill Road. He also has been involved with the Hop River Rail Trail, Andover’s walking/biking portion of the East Coast Greenway.
Scott grew up in Andover and has lived here for much of his life. He is a Renewable and Environmental Professional and lives in town with his wife, Lauren Person, who is the Assistant Town Clerk.

Scott Sauyet
Candidate for RHAM Board of Education
Scott has served on the Andover Board of Education, the Capital Improvement and Planning Commission, and the Democratic Town Committee. He was a founding member of the Andover Website Committee.
Scott raised two wonderful children in town, through Andover Elementary and RHAM, and is a brand new grandfather! He has lived in Andover more than 25 years.
He is from a family of educators and is a passionate believer in public education. He has a BA and an MA in Math from Wesleyan University and works as a computer programmer by trade.

Mark Williams
Candidate for Fire Commission
Mark has lived in Andover more than 44 years. He attended RHAM and joined the Fire Department in 1978. He is now the senior captain of the Department and goes on ambulance and fire calls.
Mark has served on the Fire Commission for two years. He is an Emergency Medical Responder and enjoys being on the commission, but he is best known for his quiet, compassionate demeanor with ambulance patients.
