Democrats believe that diversity is a strength, and each of us is entitled to our own core beliefs and values. As diverse as we may be as individuals, we are united in the following:

• All people are equally deserving of respect, regardless of race, gender, or sexual preference. This includes pay equity for the same work, equal opportunities to improve their lives, and equal protections under the law.

• A more equitable tax system needs to be established, so that everyone pays their fair share.

• Health care is a right, and we believe in universal, affordable health care for all.

• Women have a right to bodily autonomy and reproductive choice.

• Every child deserves a high-quality education.

• Climate change is an existential threat that we must urgently, proactively, and aggressively work together to protect our future.

• We need a healthy criminal justice system that provides fair and equitable treatment for all.

• Access to affordable housing for all citizens.

• All voices must be heard for a healthy democracy to thrive.

• We expect honesty, transparency and civility from our elected representatives at all levels.
